In this day and age, enlightened peoples should all reject and exert their energies to repudiating this chauvinistic and even imperialistic ‘world-view’ and never acqueisce to such a stone-age mentality propogated by Islam…

It is clearly and simply another form of colonialism that radical fundamentlistic muslims want to enforce over non-muslim peoples, this time with self-claimed ‘divine sanction’. This is very dangerous and must be exposed and engaged with vigorously at all levels indeed.

“Eurocentricism and colonized mentality” eh? :) Like your rejoinder “all world history is relevant because we all share a common humanity” (which is certainly applicable in theological arena as well)

But disturbing to see such ethnocentrism in public discourse in multicultural Malaysia.
