Kam Weng, Warmest regards: TQ and Praise God for your excellent refutation of the shallow and biased contestations of Muslim scholars, as well as your enhanced scholarly advocacy for Christian right to use the term Allah for God. My anxiety is how to present to judges concerned vis-a-vis our position so that they will make the right and just verdict to redeem our national honour, also the honour of Islam, as banning of the term has made Malaysia/Malaysian Islam a laughing stock among the nations, especially in the intellectual/academic world. Theologically Surah 29:46 alone should inform knowledgable Muslims that they should respect our right to use the word, because the Prophet of Islam himself, despite some knowledge of the different concepts of Allah as existing between Christians and Muslims then, was still able to say, 'Our God and your God is one". Christians and Muslims will continue to argue on the concept of the Trinity, but denying our fundamental faith in One God is wrong and unfair, and forbiding our right to use the term Allah is utterly stupid and tyranical.
